Another month has passed by, fall is here and…
Sep 25, 2008 | 20:29 CEST… I feel that there just is not enough time to do everything I need to. Like always. I need to chill…
I have barely trained at all for the passed month. I decided to give the muscle rupture in my stomach some time to heal. Haven’t felt anything for the last couple of weeks, but then I haven’t trained and stressed it either so I’m doing an ultrasound tomorrow just to make sure.
School has continued with an Aviation Management class. It’s a mixture of (strategic) management and marketing. I studied business economics and marketing during my last university tour, but I have to admit that it makes it extra interesting when we look at one type of business, Aviation , which also happens to be quite special. Only thing we have left know is a bigger paper on one airline of our choice to sum up the knowledge gained throughout the class.
Oh, I almost forgot. I finished my thesis and presented “Threat and Error Management - en model för säker flygning” (eng “Threat and Error Managament - a model for safe flying”). I have some minor corrections to do before I’ll make it available to the public, so keep an eye out if your interested in Human Factors in general and Threat and Error Management (TEM) in particular.
I’ve started with the theory part of the flight instructor program at L.U.S.A. in addition to the ATPL ab-initio program that I already enrolled. The flight instructor theory classes this fall consists of Psychology and Human Factors. Both classes are something that really fascinates me, the human being fascinates me. 16 students and 6 spots for practical part of flight instructor program that starts next semester (Q1 2009).
The Multi Crew Co-operation course starts in Ljungbyhed October 13. Cannot wait! Haven’t flown IR since the skill test in the end of June, so I’m going to read up a lot just to make sure that I get the most out fo the course. The course is basically a course where I learn to work in a cockpit environment where there are two (or more) pilots. I believe that focus is on communication and other non-technical things, i.e. Human Factors.
With all the studying going on I still manage to work somewhere 50-75% at SonyEricsson Mobile Communications (SEMC) in Lund. Started working there as a summer worker in July to fill in for a friend who was on a leave of absence spending time with his kids. One thing led to another and I’m still there. It’s a good working environment, nice people to work with etc so I’m pleased. Managed to learn a couple things and explore some uncharted terrain which always nice.
I’ll finish up by admitting that I watched an episode of the Swedish Idol. I’ve always felt that there are seldom any artists that sing the kind of music that I like, but this year has at least two! One of them Loulou Lamotte sang a song that I never heard before and that I felt for immediately. I found it on YouTube of course - Chaka Khan’s “Love Me Still”. Beautiful…
